Early Life

Bernice van der Westhuizen was born on 21 October 2000 in Rustenburg, the most populous city in the North West province of South Africa. She grew up in the small farming town of Swartruggens. She fell in love with music as a child.

South Africans fell in love with her in 2019. She sang the South African National Anthem before the match between Springboks and Argentina kicked off.

The talented singer released her first album, Net Geleen, in 2020. South Africans got to know her after she finished second in the music reality series Maak My Famous on kykNET.

The singer was nominated for music awards and starred in Inhoud Huis Musiek’s hit musical, Die Gelofte: ’n Musiekblyspe.
